Havertown Orthodontist Transforms Old Bank Into State-Of-The-Art Facility
Patients Can Now Bank on Straight Teeth at Faust Orthodontics
Havertown, PA – August 24, 2015 – Faust Orthodontics has announced the opening of its new state-of-the-art Orthodontic facility, located at,1635 Darby Road, in Havertown (adjacent to Haverford Middle School and High School).
The former Citizen’s Bank on Darby and Golf Roads has been transformed into a new sleek and modern Orthodontic office building. The waiting room boasts big screen TV’s and a children’s area featuring iPads. Additionally, an “on deck” area allows patients to brush before their appointments. The practice utilizes digital x-ray machines and the hi-tech Damon System for braces and Invisalign.
While it was important to update the building during renovations, it was equally important to keep some of the unique features of the bank, notes Dr. Shawn Faust.
“The whole renovation took about two years, but the wait was well worth it,” said Dr. Shawn Faust. “We look forward to growing the practice and continuing to establish a name in the community for those with orthodontic needs.”
One of the bank’s unique features that Dr. Faust wanted to maintain was the walk in vault. Patients can deposit wooden nickels, which are earned at each appointment or outside of the office for a variety of qualifying reasons. The safety deposit boxes are used as part of Faust Orthodontics new Wooden Nickel Incentive program. The program incentivizes patients to take care of their teeth and braces by allowing them to earn wooden nickels at each appointment for good brushing and no breakage of their braces. They can also earn nickels outside the office by having their teeth cleaned at their general dentist and for good grades on their report cards.
“Patients get really excited about earning their nickels,” said Treatment Coordinator, Andrea. “We have seen a big difference in the level of brushing by the patients and reduced number of emergency appointments.” Patients can deposit their wooden nickels in their safety deposit box within the vault and redeem them for prizes at any point during treatment. “This rewards program helps teach our patients responsibility with their braces, while still making it fun for them,” says Dr. Faust.
The drive-thru window was another unique feature of the bank that Dr. Faust wanted to maintain. Parents can now pay bills at the window, make appointments or pick up things such as extra rubber bands or wax. This is very convenient for parents with younger children.
The office is conveniently located adjacent to the middle school and high school making it easy for patients at those schools to walk to and from their appointments. This also makes it easy for parents that cannot take the time off of work to take their children to the orthodontist.
Committed to delivering excellent orthodontic treatment to its patients, Faust Orthodontics provides a friendly, caring and fun atmosphere to ensure its patients feel relaxed and confident about their orthodontic care.
Dr. Faust received his Bachelor’s degree from Duke University, his dental degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and completed his training at the Orthodontics Specialty Program at Temple University.
